  • Leather gaiters

Would anyone out there have any leads on where to find a maker for a set of black leather button-up gaiters? I'm developing an impression that uses Bersaglieri style gaiters, which were black with buttons rather than buckles. Even a pattern would be a help.

    Darn specialty impressions....

    Thanks

    Re: Leather gaiters

    Hallo Herr Robert!

    Just in passing...

Wouldn't it be better to seek a maker of the historically correct type of leggings needed for the impression, rather than a generic set of leggings for a particular specific impression?

(I am recently back from a trip to Gettysburg, where I viewed a Berdan sharpshooter with stove pipe style (anti-snake) leggings make of thick shiny black leather with numerous buckes and straps that look like large breed dog collars...that match no known reference or Berdan image.)
