I hope the mods allow this, I wanted to post it here because this is the only outlet where I feel this message can reach the audience I want to target.

Those of you who know me are aware of my tendance toward sarcasm and friendly antagonism, but I wanted to put that aside for a moment to express sincere appreciation to Mark Choate.

A series of misfortunes put Linda and I on I-40 near Dickson, TN sunday morning early with a down alternator and a trailer load of furniture. We contacted Mark for a little local repair advise, and thanks in great part to his generous assistance we got back on the road and home safely.

Too often we don't take time to recognize folks like him. Mark is a true asset to all of us , and I just wanted to express that.

    Thanks again

Oh, and get your alternator checked.....

Well, Mark is "that kinda guy". More than a leader on the field, he is organized behind the scenes yet humble and, as you have seen, someone you can always count on. Great thing about this hobby...there are more of these types than not.

Exactly! That is one of the greatest things this hobby has given me. From this hobby I have contacts in almost every area of the country. When I bought my truck in Detroit I put a call out to see if anyone lived near the area and could test drive it for me before I came out from Iowa to buy it. Sam Lowe very willingly took it out for a spin for me and gave me his opinion.

This hobby has some of the most selfless people out there!
