SC Militia Artillery Shoulder Straps

I have client who has expressed an interest in having me make a pair of South Carolina Militia shoulder straps. My references have minimal information on this topic (a single sentence) and of course I want to deliver a correct representation. It appears that, except for the rank devices of Colonel on up, the SC Militia straps followed the Federal pattern. My client wants a pair of Colonel of Artillery straps (palmetto device in the center), but at the moment I can only assume the centers would be red fabric. Can anyone confirm this would be correct?
